Thoughts on No Light, No Light (from Ceremonials for Elyssa)

Layers upon layers of crashing, chaos into a steady, lull of music. harp plucked, over synthesised but you don't care. the lyrics are meaningless because the chaos, the noise in the music is what moves you and in that storm of sound you pluck the meaning that you want. A song can be about joy or pain and it can be both in one glorious moment when the song is stripped bare and a note is held. The music is brought to its most simple of chords and notes and then the noise begins again, chorus swelling and overwhelming you. And now you can almost hear the words, lips mouthing along as the song slows, notes drop down scales until the last note is held. The note that ties the song and you together.
